"This type of landscape - the synthetic turf - shows the benefits of an application like this by saving water, electricity and city resources. Thank you, CUT!"

Project: Campbell Hall Prep School
Location: Hollywood, CA
Completed: December 2005
Description: A large, 101,000 square foot, multi-use field (football, soccer, baseball, etc.) and a batting cage requiring a turf access area of 4,000 square feet.
Issue: The school needed to improve its multi-use field, as it was being over-used and abused due to heavy use and improper drainage. The field was constantly under repair, frequently in need of watering to fix the dead grass, which in turn created an uneven playing surface. The school also strove to decrease field repair costs, maintenance expense and water usage.
CUT's Solution: California Ultimate Turf's first step had been to demolish the existing field. Once it was demolished, CUT graded and leveled the field and then built a surrounding curb for better visual appeal. One key inclusion was the drainage-mat system for optimum water drainage. Although the field would not need to be watered, as would natural grass, it had to compensate for rain. The final step was the actual turf installation and associated rubber infill was refined for safety and compaction based on the intended use; this was executed by our affiliate Forever Green.
Client Testimonial: "CUT's 'Total Turf Solution' was the answer for our field. All of our students can now safely enjoy these playing fields. Thanks, CUT!" - Julian Bull, Headmaster
