| Project: |
University of California Riverside Soccer Field |
| Location: |
Riverside, CA |
| Completed: |
August 2007 |
| Description: |
88,330 square ft. soccer field, originally natural grass converted to a California Ultimate Turf's synthetic soccer specific system. |
| Issue: |
The amount of play that the natural grass surface took on throughout the year, presented a major water cost to the university. As well as the surface drying out in the later half of the season. |
| CUT's Solution: |
The field was converted to a 52oz. PE Monofilament blade. This surface is highly recommended for soccer specific fields, in that, it locks in the rubber infill. This will be a major cost savings to the university's water bill. (Installation by CUT affiliate: IC Improvements) |
| Client Testimonial: |
"The surface is great and is already doing wonders for the soccer program; in terms of recruiting. Our athletic department could not be happier with the field, more importantly the players absolutely love it." - Junior Gonzalez, UCR Men's Soccer, Head Coach |
