What should I look for in picking a synthetic turf?
Safety is number one. Quality and durability are also important
factors to weigh in your decision making. The turf should look
and plays like a natural surface in any weather condition.
How long should the synthetic surface last?
Depending on foot traffic and use, a synthetic surface can last
between 8 and 10 years. Every CUT product is manufactured with
a quality primary backing plus durable fibers; and when
incorporated with the proper infill become part of a long
lasting playing field or landscape.
How is the artificial turf priced?
The turf is priced on a square foot basis, taking into account
the installation and construction needs of your project.
What are the cost-savings compared to real grass?
There is a substantial long-term cost-savings due to the

What is G-Max and why is it important?
G-Max tells you how hard your playing surface is. Natural surfaces
in a pristine condition run between 100 and 135 on the G-Max scale.
The goal of artificial surfaces is not to exceed 135 on the G-Max scale.
How do these installations drain?
California Ultimate Turf will design and build your installation
and drainage to your specific needs. Large projects will call for
perimeter drains and a drainage mat underneath the application.
It is a half inch drainage mat that can collect and drain 16
gallons of water per minute /per foot. Stone base can handle about
3-5 gallons per minute/per foot. The drain mat also provides a
superior rainfall evacuation rate which reduces the wait time
before using the area after a steady rain. The product also enhances
the G-Max performance of the turf. It does not however influence
the ball action or cause injury to the players. We have learned in
the industry that your installation is only as good as the
foundation below it.
